Flying in style

Reading Time: 2 min.

Long-haul flights come with their respective jetlag. And what better way to avoid the latter than indulging yourself in flying First Class and enjoying its luxurious amenities. In addition, it is also known for its excellent ground service (special lounges at airports and luxury transportation), personalized onboard service, and fine dining.

Unfortunately, First Class is a dying breed as more and more airlines have chosen to replace it with the more competitive business class. Furthermore, First Class is only offered on-air routes with high traffic and enough customers willing to pay for this heavenly privilege.

But don’t grieve, we have selected a list of the best airlines with First Class service.

Emirates

Floor-to-ceiling sliding doors and a sleek design inspired by the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, each suite takes luxury and privacy to a new level. The soft leather seat reclines into a comfortable flatbed that can turn in a “zero gravity” position inspired by NASA technology. In addition, to ensure the best view for First Class travelers, Emirates introduced the industry’s first virtual window.

These windows project the view from outside the aircraft using real-time camera technology.

Qatar Airways

The Arab airline has ultra-wide seats made with the most delicate fabrics and design elements characteristic of its country. The center partitions allow more privacy, and each seat reclines into a flatbed. Its amenities are excellent, and the onboard service adds an extra luxury touch.

Air France

Each haute couture suite at La Premiere has a generous seat that reclines into a spacious bed, one of the largest available. In addition, each suite has an ottoman that can play as an extra seat for accompanied dining. It also comes with a set of thick curtains that allow more privacy for the traveler.

Etihad Airlines

This airline exceeded the usual First Class, creating First Apartments; these suites are more than just a seat. Each one has a leather armchair and a 2.08-meter bed. They also contain enough space to walk around, doors for privacy, a folding table for two, and a full closet. Additionally, travelers have the option of refreshing with a hot shower before landing.

Singapore Airlines

The Singaporean airline takes luxury and comfort to a new level with its suites. Each suite has a full bed and a leather recliner to give travelers greater relaxation. They also include a 32” flat screen, a personal closet, designer carpet, and ambient lighting that provides an extra touch of luxury and intimacy. In addition, for couples traveling together, it offers suites with a double bed.
