Inspired by the union and colors and joy of her land, Colombian Paris Rodríguez had the opportunity to fulfill the dream of all designers and present her latest collection at New York Fashion Week. Up next, enjoy an interview with Molén Antolin to Paris Rodríguez.

What is your collection called, and how many looks make it up?

TOGETHER is made up of 22 looks.

What was the inspiration for this collection?

My inspiration is in unity. We are all united by one voice to support our causes employing our creativity and personal expansion to fight without losing individuality. I was inspired by durable and conscious design as well.

What materials did you use and why?

We used Eco-recycled fabrics obtained from pet bottles. Woven by Colombian artisans, embroidered, embellished, chiffon and silk with their prints.

I dedicated the show to all those who have worked with me in all these processes for years. I used the fabrics of sustainable materials for environmental awareness; it is necessary to offer products of sustainable materials since well-being becomes something more emotional.

What's next after NY Fashion Week?

Various fashion events follow. First, we will return to Mexico to do several press conferences, then are invited to a show, and then we will continue exploring the Mexican market. In addition, we are preparing our autumn/winter collection.

Did you ever imagined yourself presented at NY Fashion Week?

I always dreamed of being in New York in the show, but I did not imagine it would be so soon. It took us all by surprise.

You have managed to have an undeniable acceptance in the most recognized fashion media. Now, what are the plans and goals for the brand?

We plan to strengthen our online sales and be on various platforms around the globe; so that all those who write to us can obtain our products. We will continue to present in several parades, support our Latin American talent, strengthen our suppliers in Colombia and Mexico and continue with our foundation.
